All the kingdoms of the Known World celebrate and value those who share their knowledge with others, inspiring them and passing on their skills so that their community can continue to grow and thrive. This is done at large events and small, through classes, demonstrations, and simple conversations. In some kingdoms, there is a tradition of large events focused on encouraging such teaching and learning, under the banner of a kingdom university.
Lochac is home to many fine teachers, in arts martial, arts peaceable, and in all the skills of service needed by our community. We would like to celebrate and facilitate this teaching with university events, as other kingdoms do. Such events have been run in Lochac before by local groups, but with the establishment of the Lochac University as a parent structure, we hope to offer kingdom-level support for these and kingdom level online university events in future.
We are delighted to be able to learn from the established kingdom universities of Drachenwald and Atlantia who have invited us to join them in offering a round-the-world, round-the-clock online university event.
Together, our three kingdoms will offer “The Three Corners of the World”, a tri-kingdom university. This event will start its 24 hours of online learning in Lochac on Saturday 7 February at 10am AEDT (7am AWST/ 9am AEST / 9.30am ACDT / 12noon NZDT) via Zoom. The event theme is ‘Courtesy, Collaboration, Community.’ Save the date, watch this space, and come along to learn with us!
Registration for this event will begin in December. In the meantime, if you’d like to teach at this event, submit a class proposal. If you’d like to volunteer your help in other ways, email the Chancellor.
