However, batik is a centuries-old craft with beauty and meaning behind the modern prints. This class will explore the earlier history of batik use, how we know about it, and the basic techniques for making it. |

The broadsides were full of lurid tales of murder, adultery, and deviance which captivated the Elizabethans. This fascination with crime expressed itself in emergent forms of art and entertainment, including morbid ballads and “ripped from the broadsides” dramas on the Elizabethan stage. |
| Lady Cecily de Montgomery (she/her) | Everyday Vessels: Domestic Glassware of the Medieval and Renaissance Period | In the SCA, feasting and drinkware can be dominated by materials like wood, ceramics, and metal – with glass overlooked or incorrectly considered not appropriate for our period. In this class we will look at a range of extant period examples of domestic glassware dating from the 5th century to the 16th from across Europe – considering shapes, style, context, production, and use. |

This class will cover Lady Bro’s preferred sequence of training, exercises and drills to help transition target archery skills to combat archery, and some common pitfalls. |
